Chaplin published by - 6 years 6 months 26 days ago. | | Hi Judith and thanks for your positive reply.
I have a confession to make in that I got carried away with my greats in my last message. Henry and Sarah are my Great Grandparents, George is therefore my Grandfather and Jack my Great Uncle making me his 74 year old Great nephew!!. Incidently, I got as far as discovering him marrying Emily Blackmore 26/4/1886 but so far no further.
May I suggest we now continue on a one to one basis? If you are in agreement my email address is charbara4445@virginmedia.com and I look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards
Charlie

Chaplin published by - 6 years 6 months 27 days ago. | | Hello Charlie,
Yes we share a family. John Chaplin married Emily Blackmore. I'd be willing to share trees with you. Brian Chaplin, my Dad's cousin worked on the tree for many years, he's sadly died but I have his records too.

Prisoners of War published by - 6 years 6 months 28 days ago. | | Hi Margaret
Are you aware that at the end of WW2 all POW’s were required to complete a questionnaire giving details of their capture and details of all the camps they were held in. They were always held in more than one camp usually transit camps en route to their destination. They were also asked to give details of any escape attempts and acts of sabotage.
These forms are available at the National Archives at Kew.

Chaplin Family published by - 6 years 6 months 28 days ago. | | From Mr Edwin "Charlie" Chaplin
Hello Wayne,
I have a william Chaplin in my family tree, the 3rd of 5sons and 3 daughters born to Henry and Sarah (nee Pitts) Chaplin. Their youngest Son, George is my Great Grandfather and whilst my sister and husband live in Whorle they "don't get about much" these days so I would certainly be interested is seeing some photographs of Grave Stones in Wick St Lawrence as we live in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, so can't, I'm afraid, just pop over. I would also be interested in comparing notes with regard to our respective trees.
Kind Regards, Charlie
