ANN PETHERAM

Hello, I am after any information that can be found on Ann Petheram who I believe was born around 1730 (don't know where she was born). What I do know is that she married an ancestor of mine by the name of Jasper Hancock. They were married on 10 August 1750 in Hutton. T Jasper died February 1810 and supposedly buried in St. Christoper's Churchyard and Ann supposedly is buried beside him in St. Christopher's Churchyard, Lympsham. I am after parents, siblings and where she died and is she buried beside her husband Jasper Hancock. Kongwak333

Thank you Dave for this site, I downloaded a copy of this for future reference. I am only guessing that she remarried, because I have not been able to find a death and burial. Thanks again Robyne

Thank you again Pat, I don't think this is her, because her last born child was baptised in May 1697 and he also was buried in June 1967. Also I checked the Cornwall Births and Baptisms for her as you suggested, but sorry no luck with her in being in Cornwall. Robyne

Not everything is online.  As you have his death certificate - where did he die and who was the informant?  That may give a clue.  The nearest Crematorium in 1946 would have been in Bristol so you might try their records. Email them stating your problem, contact details is given in the link to their records.

As you know - he isn't in the Clevedon Cemetery but did you try the Clevedon Civic Society as I suggested before?  The Cemetery and St Andrew's Churchyard are very close.

There might be an announcement of his funeral in the local newspaper - if you contact the North Somerset Studies Library with the name and date of death they may be able to help you.

Even if you find where he was buried - not all graves have memorials.
