Ive just had an idea & as the Somerset Archivist is going to visit Weston library on 6th DEC Ive sent her an e mail requesting that the burial registers for East Brent & Brent Knoll be brought with her so I can have a look at them & hopefully find Harriet's burial date for you

Please don't think that I was saying all on that Ancestry tree was gospel as I know from my own research that some people just link to other trees without bothering to research them properly from source & just perpetuate any errors that have been made on the tree that they have downloaded. I just look at these trees for a bit of fun to see how many holes I can pick in them & have found a lot. The reason I recommended this tree to you was because I know a lady who has researched the name Puddy & she is a fantastic researcher who sources all that she possibly can but I don't know if this is her own tree.
All the very best

David, I am also a distant cousin of your Canadian cousin, Wayne.
Do you by any chance have photographs of any DYER family members in Wick St. Lawrence?

Harriet Jarvis published by Les Martels - 6 years 6 months 16 days ago. | | Hi Phil,
Thank you for going to the trouble to look all that information up for me, much appreciated. As you may guess, I already have researched the family pretty thoroughly and am just trying to fill in the last bits of data that might be freely available.
It is much appreciated also if you can get the date from the actual register as then I will know it is correct. Thr trouble with taking info from Ancestry trees is the accuracy of it as I know so much of the information there is rubbish even down to the death of my own mother. I have been familiar with the Puddy tree in the past, so maybe I will contact the owner again and ask the question.
Thanks again for your help.

Maternity Provision in Weston in 1942 published by Pat Hase - 6 years 6 months 17 days ago. | | When you asked this before there were some suggestions made - see here for older information but you didn't say then whether you had a copy of the birth certificate which might give the address of the place of birth. I think it unlikely that Yatton Hall or Sand Park near Taunton would have been the hospital in question as they were not designated as General Hospitals.
The Maternity homes mentioned in the previous correspondence all seem possibilities. Ashcombe House Maternity Hospital in Weston which I believe opened as a Maternity Hospital in 1946 is a little late, but I'm not sure whether the building which had been used as a Red Cross Hospital during WW1 was still in use as a hospital in 1942. Does anyone know what was happening at Ashcombe House before 1946?
