CommentsHASE/HARDIDGE published by Pat Hase - 6 years 5 months 22 days ago. | | Good to see your comment. Is this correct? Elsie Sarah Hase HARDIDGE was born in about 1909 in Doncaster, Victoria, Australia, the daughter of John HARDIDGE and Mary BROWN. Her father, John HARDIDGE was born in 1862, the son of John William HARDIDGE and Mary Anne HASE who were married on Christmas Day 1852 in Compton Bishop, Somerset.
Mary Anne HASE was a younger sister of my husband's great grandfather, Henry HASE - which means that you share common ancestors of great great grandparents - William HASE and Rebecca Parfrey MILLARD - making you and Mike (I think) third cousins!

Mary Ann NICHOLLS published by Pat Hase - 6 years 5 months 25 days ago. | | Thanks Dave, It's good to get someone else's opinion - I was going round in circles with this one. No, I don't think they were twins - according to the censuses Joseph NICHOLLS was born in 1834 but was christened with his baby sister in 1836. I'm working on the siblings of direct ancestors to make it easier to connect up with any DNA matches I might have. I've very grateful for your help - Thanks

Mary Ann NICHOLLS published by daveerasmus - 6 years 5 months 25 days ago. | | Hi Pat. I have worked through your analysis and cannot fault your reasoning and conclusion. Like you, I would have liked to have traced William WEAR and Mary after their marriage but I cannot find them either. Interestingly there was a baptism of a Joseph NICHOLLS in 1836 who was a brother (twin?) to Mary. He married an Elizabeth and in 1861 they were living in Wedmore with their children. One of those children was one-month old Mary Ann!

Harriet Jarvis burial published by Les Martels - 6 years 5 months 27 days ago. | | Hi Phil,
Thank you so much for all the trouble you have gone to in search of this elusive information. It seems you have pulled out all the stops and still found nothing.
I have had an Ancestry sub for many many years and still finding stuff on interest but not this query but I will try the suggestion given by the Somerset Archivist as I may have missed it. If no joy, then I will definitely try the website for Brent Knoll. I have traced Harriet's family back a few generations but her burial date was the only thing I did not have. I rather think it could be that the register is not out in the general domain yet so the website might be the answer.
Thanks again for all your help and if I can help you in anyway, I am more than happy to do so.
Have a happy Christmas and a healthy 2019.
Best wishes,
Elizabeth
