I go through phases of researching (largely when I can find the time) and I must have not been online or something for a period. I have just read the above thread with interest! To answer the question of where I got the dates from, I have actually been passed most of the details on my tree from my father's cousin who, now in her 80s, did a great deal of the family history research by hand, going round record offices and archives etc and well before the days of the internet. She gave me a GEDCOM file with lots of dates and names but I didn't have all the records or documents for them. I've been focusing on building on that initial research and adding documentation where I can. I have my own blog at https://www.meetmyancestor.com but I haven't focused on the GOULD history yet. I've been focusing on JAMES and FRY history from the early Town commissioners and first hotel developments. I'm very interested in all that you've found out though as I do believe my 5 X Great Grandparents were William and Hannah GOULD (nee BEACHAM). I would love to see a copy of the will mentioned above? And I'm guessing we're somehow related Robin? Have you done your DNA on Ancestry?? Best wishes, Honey | |

If anyone would like to see these photos to identify possible ancestors of theirs, I'd be glad to share them. | |
