Lovely photograph, thank you.  The names are interesting.  However, I think that Mrs DAVIES was Mrs Dorothy Violet Maud DAVIES who was Miss Enid M D MITCHELL's eldest sister, not her mother.  On the 1939 Register they are living in Uphill with another sister, Jessie MITCHELL.  Their grandfather, Edwin Buller MITCHELL was the founder of "Mitchell Diadem Flour Co Ltd" in Bristol.

There was a HERVEY family whose son, Felton Elwell HERVEY 1782-1819 (my 6C6R), assumed the name BATHURST in 1801 by royal licence - his maternal GM was Selina BATHURST.  His descendants were known as HERVEY-BATHURST.

Thank you, these two errors have now been corrected and a new new file uploaded to the website.

Alice Porter born 1st October 1775 lists John and Jane as her parents, but looking at a copy of the Parish Records on Ancestry her parents are listed as Richard and Hannah. Richard Parker born 10th April 1779 parents Richard and Hannah should be Porter. Again I checked an image of the Parish Register on Ancestry.

With reference to your photograph of Stanmore school 1939.  My Mum went to Stanmore and is in this photograph.

She is in the second row, and from the left she is the tall fourth girl along (leaving out the two older teachers?). Her name was Marjorie Worth. Next to her (fifth along) is her best friend Audrey Courtney-Smith. Mum married Audrey's cousin (my father) Ted Hook.    Mum lived in Woodland Road with her mother, my grandma, Gladys Worth and her mother and father, George and May Oxley.  I knew my great grandparents very well, but Mum's father, Stanley Worth died aged 30 of scarlet fever, so I never knew him.  He was a very good footballer and played for Ashcombe Rangers in the day!

Stanmore was in Uphill Road North just around the corner from Charlton Road.   I went to Wyncroft School.
