Marriage of William CAPLE
published by Bill Caple - 6 years 1 months 29 days ago.

Frances TWITT d/o William & Ann is a possibility as two of William & Frances's children were named William & Ann.

There is a burial for a Frances CAPLE in Winscombe 21/1/1799 this could be her.

Many thanks for your help.

No immediate result when looking for this marriage.  There are 2 baptisms in Banwell of women called Frances of an age to be having children by 1745 - Frances TWITT d/o William & Ann in 1718/19 and Frances MILNER d/o Thomas & Mary in 1722.  Can you find either their death or marriage to eliminate them?  When did Frances die?

Hi Bill

If I have the right Isaac LEECH/LEACH then his father Thomas married Alice Bowdswell 26/03/1810 Guiting, Gloucestershire.

There is a baptism for Thomas LEECH 06/07/1786 The Leigh, Gloucestershire, parents John & Mary LEECH.

There is a baptism for Isaac LEECH 05/09/1813 Charlton Kings Gloucestershire son of Thomas & Alice Leech.

In Isaac's marriages to Elizabeth Winstone 1838 and to Mary Ann Britton 1873 the father's name was given as Thomas LEACH.

RICHARD

I can see the condition of the tomb stone in the photo on our web site under the Memorials of the Old Churchyard at Banwell. I take it that the other two mentioned on the stone are son Joel, aged 19 (who you do not list) and another son - Samuel? As you have not yet found the marriage - How you know that Mary's surname was RICHARD?
