CommentsRITCHIE published by - 5 years 1 months 4 days ago. | | Although not relevant to Weston, we have had some success tracing the Ritchie sisters' ancestry in Aberdeenshire. Names include CRANE (or CRAN), FRASER, BETTS, SANGSTER.
When it becomes possible I hope to visit Weston to see if I can find any more local records of the sisters and Henry Pettie.

Monumental Inscriptions published by Les Martels - 5 years 1 months 9 days ago. | | Are Sandford and Churchill MIs all part of the same churchyard as they both seem to be the same? Both are headed Churchill Methodist M.I.s.
what's in a name published by Pat Hase - 5 years 1 months 10 days ago. | | There is a Mary GLANNON mentioned in the Rate Books for Southwark in 1821 and again in 1831. She appears to have died in 1835, aged 53 and was buried in St Olave's Church - Isn't that near where Henry & Hannah CRICHARD lived?
I found this which may explain it.

The Mary GLANNON who witnessed that marriage in 1817 was born Mary LOOKER in about 1782 - Hannah's sister? You would need to check that out.

what's in a name published by Pat Hase - 5 years 1 months 11 days ago. | | One thing which strikes me about this complicated state of affairs that if you arrive in Tasmania with a name of "Freeman" where you would be surrounded with ex-convicts who might be described as Freemen then it would be a good idea to change that name! But why Buckland? Does that appear anywhere as a surname?
