CommentsWilliam SAUNDERS 1789-1870 published by zumrob - 9 months 0 day ago. | | Call me a male chauvinist if you must but if William is 53, then Ann at 70 is more likely to be his mother rather than his wife.

William SAUNDERS 1789-1870 published by Pat Hase - 9 months 0 day ago. | | Thank you Rob, but yes I had discounted this one as he made a mark and elsewhere he signed documents with a firm hand. Interestingly his marriage to Elizabeth only lasted about 6 months before she died.
William SAUNDERS 1789-1870 published by zumrob - 9 months 0 day ago. | | findmypast and ancestry have a marriage of William SAUNDERS to Ann SIMMONS on 10 Oct 1830 at Temple, Bristol
Sarah Simmons was a witness - does not mention William's marital state
Have you discounted this one?

September 2024 Newsletter published by Jenny Towey - 9 months 15 days ago. | | The Hutton Show was a great success, as usual - the weather was glorious. Many people came to look at the photos and information on our display boards and several went away with our membership forms and Society information - let's hope they join. I've been busy this past month using the new PRO Tools that Ancestry introduced in June. Mainly, I was using the Tree Checker component - looking at suggested inconsistencies and possible duplications in my tree. I have also been using the Enhanced Shared Matches section - which, when comparing your DNA with a match's DNA, shows how your match connects with your mutual shared matches: this feature enables you to also add their sibling/niece/parent to your tree. The amount of rationed food available for one person per week is what many people eat in a day - or even a meal - these days!! Thanks, Pat
