On the closure of St Anne's school in Severn Avenue, Weston-Super-Mare around 1937. My father remembers going to a school in Grove Park Road (which could now be Hazelcroft, 3 Grove Park Road) for a year, before going to the County School for boys. He remembers his teacher being Freddie Meaker.
Does anyone know the name of this school, and any other info about it?
Hello,
I have just today discovered your website.
My grandfather was originally from Weston-super-Mare and was born around 1901-02. I popped our surname GLOSSOP into your searxh engine and accessed an article about gardening awards tbag featured a GLOSSOP as a winner. How could I go about finding out about my ancestors? Do you have an online record of Births?
Best,
Alice Glossop

I am looking for information about Grove House and the Coach House in Grove Park in the early 1940s. I believe that my Mum was a nursery nurse to a family living there and I would be very grateful for any suggested sources.
I am looking to find burial details for my grandfather William Long Evans who died in 1942 and my great grandfather James Noble who died in 1933. Both died in Weston-super-Mare and I believe are buried there. Any assistance would be very much appreciated.
I am trying to identify the parents of George Tyley (also spelled Tiley). He was married to Sarah Andrews in Huntspill on 20 Jun 1805 and was buried at St. Mary's Wedmore 21 Mar 1835. He was residing in Cheddar at the time of his death. I do not know where he was born or baptized. Any assistance would be appreciated as I doubt I will be able to get across the pond to do research in person in the area.
Thanks in advance.
