Hi Jean Lewis was my mother and I am researching her early life from 1950 until 1958. I believe she may have moved to the South Coast soon after the fire. Can anyone give me any more information on this?
Ann Radford married Joseph Parker in 1848 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. On the marriage record it states " daughter of the late John Radford of Somerset ". I am particularly interested to know what is happening in this picture which was taken between 1948 and 1962 (NFS on the badges of the jackets is Nation Fire Service which ran between 48-62). It looks like a lady mayor presenting an award. These are firemen. NFS17 is "Bristol " area. My gramps is in the pic so we know it is Weston.

This bloke is my 3rd great-grandfather and I can't for the life of me find a link to his parents. Name spelt Larkkon-Larkkom-Larkon-Larkham-Larken and anything else you might imagine. I'm pretty sure he will be a Gloustershire lad but I'm d888eed if I can pin him down. If anyone has encountered the name I'd love to hear about it.
