FRYPublished by Honey Langcaster-James on Wed, 03/06/2020 - 14:00 | Surname: | FRY | Parish: | Weston-super-Mare | Place/Region: | SOM Somerset | Period | 1700-1799 | | 1800-1899 | Notes: | My ancestors Richard FRY and his wife Elizabeth FRY (nee MAIDEN) lived in Weston-super-Mare from around 1818 and had two children, also Elizabeth and Richard FRY. Richard FRY senior had been one of the original investors in the first Hotel, and he took it over in around 1818 when it became Fry's Hotel. Before that he'd lived in Clifton and was born in Bisley. He was a significant local figure, a Town Commissioner and St John's Church Rector/Warden. I'm interested in any FRY's who may have been related to this family. I believe there was a Rachel FRY and a John FRY living in Weston too but I don't know if they were related, and if so, how. |
