Valerie, It makes it easier for others to follow if you put the SURNAME in Upper Case - I thought initially that you were looking for someone called Wrington living in Brean!   By the way you're welcome as a new member but as a full member you would get even more help!

My link is with my 4 x great grandmother Harriet who married William PRATLETT in Worle in 1809 - transcribed as PREAN on both FreeReg and the WsMFHS transcripts.

I am now pretty certain that Harriet was the 'baseborn' daughter of Rebecca BREAN baptised in Wrington 25 Jan 1788 - a note states 'Aged 6 years 21 May next'.
Rebecca BREAN (1760-1833) was the daughter of William and Mary (possibly nee SINGER).

William and Mary (probably died 1797) also had a son Paul baptised in 1757 so I am now trying to work out how our trees connect as I have no dates for William yet apart from the possible marriage to Mary SINGER in 1749.

Well we connect via William, who is my 5 x greatgrandfather I am from his 1st wife Sarah Wollen. Their son Thomas married to Susannah Singer, their son Paul married to Nancy Brown their daughter Ann who married James Horlor who had Charles Horlor who married Elizabeth Ann Chicken (Bishop Wearmouth met via glassworks I surmise)and had Louisa my grandmother.

I have William and 2nd wife Mary Singer with Rebecca born 1760 (11 children in all including a Paul 1757)

Quite a big tree

Thank you for the confirmation that Mary SINGER was William's 2nd wife, that makes sense. I will certainly be having a deeper look into this tree.
