Have a query if someone could help. Have located a baptism from http://www.durtnall.org.uk/Somerset%20Pages.htm for Samuel Puddy baptised 29 March 1785. I think that this is Emmanuel Puddy and Not Samuel how can I/or can someone check this out. There is a question mark? on the Samuel.

Were are the original records ... anyone know please?

The original records are held at the Somerset Heritage Centre in Taunton and I haven't got a copy of the original record to hand but I do have Emmanuel as being the son of George & Ruth PUDDY born in Burnham on Sea with that date for his christening given to me some years ago by someone else but unfortunately I haven't yet checked it.

George PUDDY married Ruth WATTS 27/7/1783 at Burnham on Sea. I believe George to be a son of John & Mary PUDDY who were my husband's 4 x great grandparents.

I know there are other PUDDY researchers out there - can anyone else help?

Hi Beth,

One of my relatives was a John Puddy who married Maria Horsington in St Martins Church in Worle in 1831. He was born in 1805 but that's all I know about him whilst he was in England, In the early 1850's he emigrated to Australia. Is he related to any of your Puddies?
