Sarah Bartlett Hicks (nee Fear) is my great-great grandmother, Her daughter Euphemia (my great grandmother) married Samuel Dyer of Kenn.

I am having trouble finding where Sarah is buried! After her second husband, Thomas Sprod, died she lived in Clevedon, which is where she is on the 1891 census. She died later that year but I haven't found a burial for her. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am new to WSMFHS and until now I have been independently researching the Hicks and Sprod families.

My mother's maiden name was Hicks (Banwell) and her direct line came from Lympsham. I have also discovered that we are widespread! Lympsham, Berrow, Brean, Banwell, Wick St Lawrence, Congresbury, Kenn, Bristol.

An interesting point, Thomas Sprod (Kenn) and Sarah Hicks (Banwell), both widowed, married. Then Thomas Sprod's daughter, Sarah Jane, and Sarah Hicks' son, John, married!  So these are my great great grandparents and great grandparents.

Mary Ann SPROD (1841) married Edward WILLETT at Banwell.  I have her parents as Thomas SPROD and Sarah TANNER who were married on 9.5.1829 at Congresbury. Sarah Jane SPROD and Mary Ann SPROD would appear to be sisters.

Where and when Thomas SPROD was baptised, and the name of his parrents are not known.

Looking at the 1851 census it looks as if Thomas SPROD was born in Nempnett Thrubwell.  There are SPROD baptisms at Nempnett Thrumbwell included in our transcriptions. The date given for the baptism of Thomas SPROD doen't quite tally with the age given on the census but is worth investigating.
