Hi I am trying to get some more information on Joan? Drake who married George Washer - He possessed 13 acres at Berrow and was Living 1700.

He married (1) KATHERINE STONE born 1675 died 1728. Married in Wellington Somerset 16 March 1694.

Notes for JOSEPH DRAKE:
Joseph (Joan's brother) came to North Carolina USA in 1733 with his brothers, Francis and Bamfield. He and Bamfield were scalped by Indians shortly after arrival. Francis and Mary's 8 year old son James Drake was kidnapped by Indians in 1733 but his family paid a large ransom and he was released.

Bamfield Drake accompanied his brother, Francis, to North Carolina USA in 1733. He was captured and killed by Indians.
