Representatives of the National Archives are keen to discover relatives of a Michael C WINDEATT 1935-1999. Michael WINDEATT was involved with a collection of Railway Memorabilia compiled by Wilfrid Edwin HAYWARD which is currently being being sorted and indexed. He also wrote about the Weston, Clevedon and Portishead Railway.
We believe that he was a descendant of a Charles WINDEATT 1838-1897, who was a "Professor of Music" in Weston. You can read more about Charles WINDEATT here; He had a large family many of whom were musicians. If anyone is connected with the WINDEATT family or has researched it and can help please can they let me know and I will pass on the information. Please do not post details about any living people on our site but I think that Michael's grandfather lived in Albert Road and worked for Sleeps the builders and died in 1956.
