Can any one find any info for me on this Address from about 1929 Until 1939?? Was it a residential dwelling and if so who lived there? Was it a Children's Home or A Hostel back then?
The Surname Andrews Was there In 1939 I believe.... Thanks for Any Info
You can get some information about who was living there from Street Directories. I only have 1921 and 1941 at home
In 1921 A Jefferies is living there and it was called "Freshlands" -
In 1941 Mrs C Andrews was there and it was still called "Freshlands"
According to the Western Daily Press of 1933 a Charles ANDREWS was carrying on a business as a Corn Merchant at 2 St Paul's Road. He was a corn and cattle cake representative and he died at that address in 1939
The Librarians at North Somerset Studies Library in Weston Town Hall may be able to help you find who was living there in the years you want - there is a complete run of Street Directories on the open shelves and also some Electoral Rolls for 1938. You can contact them by email and they are very helpful.
