Old Photograph of Weston-super-Mare?

Hi there,

I know I'm pushing my luck, but I was wondering if someone might recognise where this photograph was taken. I have reason to believe that is was taken in Weston-super-Mare, perhaps close to a beach (based on the fact that the young girl is holding a shovel and pail).

If there's a chance that someone might be able to help me I would be extremely grateful. I don't know that area myself, other than it was where my great-grandfather, Peter Louis Venn, and his second wife, Minne Elizabeth Venn (nÃ©e Smith) retired. He lived there from 1925 to 1932, while she lived there much longer.

Although this does look like the type of photograph taken by street photographers at the seaside I don't recognise it as the Beach Road in Weston-super-Mare. I've tried enlarging it to read what was written on the carrier bag to see if that gives a clue but no luck there. Does anyone else recognise the place?
