published by on Thu, 16/08/2012 - 17:18

Hello all

I am currently working in France on the genealogy of my wife (surname Guivier)

There in the family a Joseph Prosper GUIVIER , who died at Weston-super-Mare November 26, 1915 and his wife , Alice Maud CAMPION , who died at Weston-super-Mare October 26, 1915

Could I get a copy of their death certificates ?

Thanks in advance

As Graham has told you, both are buried in Weston Cemetery, in the same grave but there is no memorial on that grave to give more information.

Death Certificates give date, place and cause of death and the name of the person who gave the information.

If you do want to get a copy of their death certificates these can be obtained online from the GRO (General Register Office) quoting the following Index References which have been obtained by using FreeBMD. The certificates will cost £9.25 each.

Joseph P GUIVIER

December Quarter 1915

Registration District - Axbridge

Volume 5c

Alice M GUIVIER

December Quarter 1919

Registration District - Axbridge

Volume 5c

Copies are also available from the local Register Office just by quoting name and date but the fee structure is different.  More information can be obtained by contacting the Weston Register Office or by visiting the web site of the North Somerset Registration Service

Thank you very much for your help.

I appreciate the speed and quality of your answers.

I will ask the GRO to obtain the certificates
