MARION ALVIS JAMES

I am looking for any information on MARION ALVIS JAMES born: 1899 in Cheddar, after the age of 12 years when living with her family in Little Eaton. Father: Jesse James b: 1867 d: 1912. Mother: Rosina Delilah James (nee Hollier) (1866-1937). I have no idea whether or not she married or date of death.

An Internet search for her full name brought up an entry in The London Gazette of the 9th October 1931 which listed that a Marion Alvis JAMES had been promoted to a Tax Clerk in the Inland Revenue. Unless this is someone else of the same name this does look like her. Have you tried looking for her on the 1939 Register?

P.S. Have just found this - A Marion Alvis JAMES, died 1 April 1967 in Cardiff - see GRO Find a will
