Porter family in Hutton

Any information on the Porter family in Hutton? John Porter appears as a mason in Hutton in the 1851 census. His daughter, Amelia born in 1841 married Edward Slade in 1862.

I know I said to be careful of online Family Trees in the February 2014 Update but in this case have you looked at the tree on Ancestry called "SMITH Family Tree" put on by mksmith54 which contains a photograph of Edward & Amelia SLADE and family?

I expect you know the christenings of the children of John & Charlotte PORTER can be found in the transcriptions of the Hutton parish records on this site.

A John PORTER married Charlotte NORMAN in St Mary Redcliffe Church, Bristol on Christmas Eve 1833 (from CD available fron the Bristol & Avon FHS . Quite possibly this is the marriage you are looking for as many people from this area went to Bristol to get married. A Charlotte NORMAN was baptised in 1812 in Uphill - see parish records for Uphill on our site.
