Seeking Information about Charles HURLEY, and his wife Harriet BENNANT.

Found a transcribed version of their marriage (From a Bishop's Transcript) : 17 Mar 1823,  St John the Baptist, Bedminster. This is a complex family!

In no particular order - Barrow HARVEY aka KNIGHT can be found on the 1841 census as a patient at the Brailbrook Asylum, near Bath.  He died there in 1846 and was buried on the 23rd June 1846 at St John Batheaston.  He had married (as you know) Harriet GAMLIN on the 20 Sept 1820 at St James Church Bristol.  I believe they had 4 children before he was admitted to an Asylum.

Charles HURLEY's wife (Harriet BENNETT) died in 1839 and I believe that his family on the 1851 census which includes 4 children born after his wife's death are probably the children of Harriet HARVEY born after her husband was admitted to the Asylum. Whether Charles HURLEY was the father of any or all of these remains to be discovered.

Charles HURLEY and Harriet BENNETT had at least 5 children, the first two christened at Hutton while they were living at Bleadon and the last 3 christened at Banwell - see our parish transcriptions for details -   They include a Jonas HURLEY and I think that Charles could possibly be the son of a Jonas HURLEY who married an Elizabeth STOCK in Bleadon on the 6th Aug 1798.  There is a baptism of a Jonas HURLEY in Bleadon in 1771 s/o John & Ann. - BUT this is speculative because a christening of Charles  has not been found in Bleadon, Churchill, Banwell or Hutton. Can anyone else find him probably in about 1799?
